Boo hoo! Almighty Dog's MEGA Plan bombed. Never mind, it did make the first shortlist, and as a newbie I learned a lot. A fantastically high bar was set. Congratulations all you deserving winners, and sympathy to the cohort of 'try harders'. Never give in!

Congratulations to one and all! I am surprised that this story of mine was selected over my others, as it was just a bit of fun - hopefully it will just be put in as an epilogue or some such :)) Really pleased to see so many of the stories I enjoyed reading have been included. Congratulations again to my 49 comrades, and commiserations to those who were not selected: don't give up! Keep writing - success is just a pen-stroke away
